Research Notes
1) The Native Americans taught the English many things but, the English treated them like animals and made it their mission to “civilize” them.
2) The Native Americans in the so called Thanksgiving story actually were a tribe living a few miles away when they heard gunshots being fired as an act of superiority over the Natives. When the Natives got ready for war the English knew they were outnumbered so they invited them to a feast which is now known as Thanksgiving.
3) In 1623 the leader of the Pilgrims was giving thanks to their God for making the disease kill these people of the Devil (Native Americans). They also thought of Squanto not as an equal but as an instrument of God to help them conquer the newfound land.
4) It is also widely said and accepted by many official sources that in that first Thanksgiving, the Wampanoag provided most of the food on the table.
5) When the Pilgrims arrived in Cape Cod one of the first things that they did was to go, find, and rob the Native Wampanoag graves to see if they could find gold which is why they came to North America in the first place.
6) The Native Americans that are now still living in some remote places also celebrate the day of Thanksgiving but in a different way which they call “The National Day of Mourning”.
7) The way that many white Americans cover up their horrible truth is that they try to give Thanksgiving a religious meaning in terms of giving thanks to their God.

WHAT I LEARNED: When the Pilgrims came from England and settled, causing disease to spread and they thought that God was in their favor and wanted them to take control of the newly “discovered” land when it was really them who caused it all. The Native Americans then taught the Pilgrims how to bathe because, before the English thought it unhygienic to do so.

Mystic, Broken. The Truth About Thanksgiving: Brainwashing of the American History Textbook
Google, 27 Nov. 2008. Web. 25 Nov. 2012.
WHAT I LEARNED: In every generation American history textbooks are refusing to accept the fact that 10 to 30 million Natives were killed as a result of European invasion and conquest. Erasing the memory of an entire race of people to justify Thanksgiving is a way of deceiving and lying to the world and its future generations. This is happening the same way where Santa Clause is a symbolical meaning for Christmas and the Natives having a great feast is the symbolical meaning for Thanksgiving.
